• Hello,

I added a redirect for the same root redirect and noticed my mistake after the redirect was not working.

I removed the first instance and it was still not working. When I try to edit the second, it says invalid ID.

I remove the second and add it again and edit, I still get invalid ID.

I have emptied the trash doing the same process above and still get the error.

Is there a way to re-index the ID of all redirects to fix this error?

I can add any other redirect and it works, it is just this previous one that seems to still be in the DB somehow.

I am running my tests in incognito mode with my cache cleared each time.

    Update:

I found the table in the database listing the links and removed the ID manually and created it again. The link keeps redirecting to the URL specified in the filter and not the action taken field.

    /resources/samples 64.58.7.38
    Redirect to

    /resources/samples/ 2014/09/19 04:09:37 PM

The rule is built as follows:

    /resources/samples

Edit | Trash | View Logs

    Manual External https://www.windward.net/category/samples

    301 1 2014/09/19 04:09:37 PM 2014/09/19 04:09:37 PM

Every other link redirection I put in works except this one and as you can see from the logs it is redirecting to the same URL, not the external one.

Any idea what might be happening?

So it’s not redirecting to the external link, but trying to redirect to an internal page/post?

yes, that’s correct. there is an internal page and that is being returned. I deleted the internal page and now I am getting a page not found error so I am assuming that it is still trying to redirect to the internal page.

I really think this is the best redirect plugin out there as it captures incoming requests, lists when redirects were last used, created and how often they are hit. I have not found another that gives this much information.

My management is asking me to look at other plugins at this point. I really hope I can get this resolved because I feel your plugin in superior to others.
