Hi Team, We have installed the Ultimate Member extension on our site and having trouble updating the new password. Below are our scenarios.

    1. When someone forgets his/her password, the whole process works fine?in the Google Chrome browser.?(which means getting a reset link to the email and successfully updating the password)??– Checked and successfully working

2.?When someone forgets his/her password, We are?unable to update the password in the Mozilla Firefox?browser.?(which means getting a reset link to the email and the link is not working). When I click on the reset link in the email, it is showing URL in the browser as “https://test.com/practitioners/login/password-reset/?updated=invalidkey” What could be the problem with an invalid key? Please advise

How can this problem be solved? Thanks in advance

    Hello @harshithareddy

The Password Reset feature uses cookies. The plugin gets a key from the link and saves it to the cookie then uses this key from the cookie when you submit a new password. The plugin will redirect you to the URL like /password-reset/?updated=invalidkey and display an error message “Your password reset link appears to be invalid. Please request a new link below.” if there is no proper key in the cookies.

Maybe your Firefox browser has an extension that blocks or caches cookies. Please verify the browser settings and allow cookies. Please also verify that the Password Reset page is not cached.

See related articles: Password Reset doesn’t work, Caching problems.
