    After verifying site ownership and clicking on allow, the setup goes back to the verifying step. After clicking on proceed for the 2nd time, the WordPress site gives back an error with “Invalid Nonce” How to fix this?

    @atmaarten For both of those sites I noticed you are using an older version of the plugin. Can you update to the latest version (1.4.0) and inform me if you are able to proceed with setup?

    @jamesosborne I’m sorry but that didn’t seem to work. After verifying site ownership and clicking on allow, the setup goes back to the verifying step.     @atmaarten No problem, lets troubleshoot further. If you want to share your Site Health I can see if there is anything I notice which may be impacting setup.

    Alternatively can you reset Site Kit before temporarily deactivating your plugins one by one and checking once more? While it’s not ideal there may be plugins or even theme configurations which can impact setup.

    @jamesosborne I myself cannot replicate the problem, but some of our customers experience this issue with SiteKit. Most of our plugins for all websites are mostly the same.

    @atmaarten Thanks for providing the additional information. Nothing stands out from first inspection. Can you temporarily deactivate the following, all of which you don’t have active on the site that successfully connected:
    – LearnDash LMS
    – LearnDash WooCommerce Integration
    – MoneyBird API integration for WooCommerce
    – Sidebar Manager
    – Ultimate Addons for Elementor
    – WooCommerce Subscriptions

    You’re version of Elementor differs between the site that us working compared to the one that’s not.

    After deactivating those please reset Site Kit and then delete the plugin in full before installing and attempting to active once more, using a browser incognito window.

    While I can’t guarantee this release will resolve the setup issues you’ve been encountering can you check once more and if unsuccessful please share your Site Health information (which now should contain Site Kit specific information).

    @atmaarten Many thanks for your patience on this issue. We’ve discussed your case specifically and we can hopefully find a solution. Are you in a position to follow the steps below, while performing a screencast/video as you previously did?

    If so please do so from a Chrome browser incognito with the Developer Tools “Console” tab open, so we can capture any additional information:
    1. Delete Site Kit from your WordPress plugins tab
    2. Remove Site Kit permissions using this link. (You’ll need to login to your browser using the same Google account you wish to setup with Site Kit)
    3. Install Site Kit once more, from the WordPress repository
    4. Connect Site Kit and follow the suggested setup steps

    You can use the same form to share any information privately, including the video. Please check the above using the ****pels.nl site you mentioned.

    @atmaarten No problem. I’ve tested the same setup as you have, with the exceptions of your custom plugins and the following commercial plugins:

    – LearnDash WooCommerce Integration: version: 1.6.0, author: LearnDash

    I tested using the Brave browser also, similar to your own setup. While I’m unable to recreate this same issue I will escalate this for further reproduction. It would be great also if you can visit this link and inform me of the variations you see for your site (when logged into the same Google account you demonstrated in the video.

    If you’d like to attempt setup once more please check the verification methods for the https version of your site (without www) and unverify any users (verification details > unverify). If that fails we may require additional information from your side unfortunately. Thanks for the preververence.

In order to troubleshoot further can you provide me the variations of your site which you see when you access this link? Please access that link when logged into your browser from the same Google account which you’re encountering issues with.
