    Hi Francisco,

Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry about the trouble here.

When I visit your website, I can see your UA tracking ID and GA4 measurement ID being inserted into your website by MonsterInsights. Here is a screenshot: https://a.supportally.com/7bAFxQ

The Tag Assistant Legacy extension is not as reliable when it comes to detecting custom tracking scripts as it only checks for the default Google Analytics tracking script. So even though MonsterInsights is working as expected, it can still report “invalid or missing account ID”.

In case it helps to know, we can see tracking is firing for both your UA and GA4 property, however, there is a duplicate Page View firing. Here is a screenshot of that: https://a.supportally.com/0uVZQD

To resolve duplicate tracking, please check out our guide here: https://www.monsterinsights.com/docs/how-to-find-duplicate-google-analytics-tracking-codes-in-wordpress/

I hope this information helps. If you feel you are continuing to experience issues, our team would be happy to take a closer look if you could reach out to us at https://www.monsterinsights.com/lite-support/.

    Thank you!

Thank you very much for your reply. I have not been able to find the double shot of pageview. I don’t know if it influences having the improved measurement enabled in Analytics 4, as well as Google signals in the collection of Analytics 4 data.

    Hi Francisco,

Our team would be happy to help locate where that extra Page View is coming from. Please reach out to us at https://www.monsterinsights.com/lite-support/ and we’ll take a closer look.

    Thanks so much!

Thank you for your reply. I find it difficult to check for the support link as I cannot attach screenshots to explain the problem. After configuring the plugin settings the 3 sections are succes. The tracking code installed. The Google tag coverage says there are three unlabelled pages.

    Hi Francisco,

I’m glad we were able to connect! I’m sharing an update here as well ??

As we discovered in the support ticket, the extra tracker was being inserted via Google Analytics.

In case others are running into a similar issue, here are a couple of places to check:

Within your UA property at analytics.google.com, go to Admin ? Tracking Info ? Tracking Code and click into the Connected Site Tags section. From here, please disconnect the tag.

Within your GA4 property at analytics.google.com, go to Admin ? Data Streams and within your available data stream find the option Manage connected site tags. From here, please disconnect the tag.

Removing the tags from these setting pages will remove the extra tracking ID or measurement ID instance from your website since MonsterInsights already takes care of inserting your tracking codes for you through our Dual Tracking feature, once configured.

For information on how to set up dual tracking, please see here: https://www.monsterinsights.com/docs/how-to-set-up-dual-tracking/

    I hope this information helps!
