Invalid PayPal IPN?

Today I received an email from PayPal with a notice that the IPN server is invalid. It says that immediate payment notices (IPN) sent to this URL
https://www.example.com/shopping-cart/thank-you/?eshopaction=paypalipn
are invalid. (changed my own domain to example.com)
Nothing has changed in my wordpress+eshop installation in the last weeks. Did anybody have the same issue?
eshop 6.3.9 (did not upgrade to 6.3.10 because the changelog is full of typos and it seems a rush job)
