I recently started having an issue. When attempting to change the status of multiple entries to published in bulk, I am receiving an “Invalid post type” message from WordPress. However, if I update the entries individually, things work fine. This started after updating to the most recent version of WordPress.

The issue also occurs when clicking the “Empty Trash” button but not when clicking the “Delete Permanently” link individually.

    Still having this issue.

    Hello,

Sorry for the very late response. Would it be possible to get the following information?

    1. WordPress Version
    2. PHP Version
    3. Events Manager Version
    4. Steps on how to replicate the issue

    WordPress Version 5.7
PHP Version 7.4.3 (Supports 64bit values)
    Event Manager Version 5.9.11.3

There are several ways to replicate the problem. Selected multiple events, select bulk edit, make any kind of edit like changing the author or turning comments off, when attempting to save I get the invalid post type message.

Another way is filtering… past events, tomorrow’s events… it doesn’t matter. Any filtering of the list of events will produce an invalid post type message.

    Hello,

Thank for your response. I have created a similar environment and So far I wasn’t able to replicate the issue. Does it still happens to you event when only Events Manager is the only activated plugin?

Would it possible if Perhaps We could get a sample screen recording?

I will be asking my collogue to try this one also.

    Hello,

From the video, I noticed that you have other plugins that are still enabled, Have you perhaps tried testing with only EM plugin is enabled and using a twenty-series theme?

Yeah, I can’t do that. My live site receives tens of thousands of visitors a day, and setting up a staging site and going through it one by one is just too time-consuming… and frankly, 99% of the time is wasted effort. The last time I had an issue with this plugin (see:https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/a-variable-mismatch-has-been-detected-6/), the issue “fixed itself” in the next update or so. When I have the time, I will likely do a full uninstall/reinstall of the plugin and see if that fixes it. Will that delete and recreate the tables in the database?

    Hello,

Deleting the plugin won’t delete any EM Data. If you want to completely Uninstall EM, You can go to Events > Settings > Admin Tools > Uninstall/Reset.

However, It’s still best and recommended to always make a Website Backup before doing something that you’re not familiar with.

Thanks. I make backups like crazy. An f-up only has to happen once to learn that season. lol
