Invalid request options.

  • I am getting this emailed error when I publish a new post:
    “Your post ID 2736 not posted on Instragram due to following reason.
    Invalid request options.”

    the plugin was working before the WordPress 5.3 upgrade. I had a lot of issues with that upgrade so I had to inactivate all my plugins to troubleshoot these issues.
    After I activated the WP Instagram plugin again, now getting this error message the first time I published a new post.
    I tried entering the Instagram password again but still not working, getting the same error message.
    I also updated PHP to 7.3 as I was troubleshooting the WordPress upgrade issues.

    I didn’t make any changes: it just stopped working and I get the same error feedback by email

    having same issue, only change was upgrade to WP 5.4.
    now getting error email when posting: not posted on Instragram due to following reason.
    Invalid request options.

    Yep, something is broken with 5.4.

    Hi,

    Well there is no known conflict with WordPress 5.4 but we are checking this.
    This looks Instagram not accepting your Web Server’s IP address. Did anyone tried with different web servers?
    Please try deleting old login sessions and connect again. Deleting login sessions option is available in v1.6
    You can download it from here. Not released yet. That’s why you have to manually download and install.

    You can select option, save settings, deactivate the plugin, activate it again and all login sessions will be deleted.

    But please note that by deleting login sessions, you may face ‘challenge require’ issue. If face, then you can try later with breaks.

    Same here with paid version:

    I tried both deactivating/reactivating the plugin and deleting and re-adding the login, but it still throws the error.
