    I am using jetpack to show related posts, they are showing up well.
    But when i click on the related post this takes me to blank page and some wrong url as

    ?relatedposts_hit=1&relatedposts_origin=14502&relatedposts_position=1

    is appended to the end of the original url

    But if I open the link in new tab then related posts just opens up fine

    Please help me out

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Do you use a caching plugin on your site? If so, could you try turning it off, and let me know if that helps?

    Thanks!

    @jeremy Herve
    Thank a lot for replying so soon

    I just checked for the plugin, its already been deactivated.
    So its not that issue.

    Is there no other way to trim those invalid characters

    These characters are added by the Related Posts module, and used when going from one post to another. It allows the module not to display the post you’re coming from in the Related Posts.

    These characters should be automatically removed from the URL as the page loads, though.

    Could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look and run some tests myself?

    hm, that’s interesting.

    Could you try to load one of the pages with the extra parameters, and then check your server error logs around the time when you loaded the page, to find out more about the error?

    If you don’t know how to access your server error logs, your hosting provider should be able to help.

    Let me know how it goes.

    @jeremy Herve i know where to check the error logs but i didn’t get

    Could you try to load one of the pages with the extra parameters

    If you try to access one of the pages with the parameters, like this one, you’ll get a blank page, that should trigger a new error in your logs. Could you let me know what you see there?

    @jeremy Herve i tried checking the logs in error_log in wp-content directory.

    But i don’t see any errors generated.
    I added this lines to the wp-config.php

    define('WP_DEBUG', true);
    define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', true);
    define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false);

    Then i created a file error.log with the permissions 666.

    But still i don’t see any errors generated.

    I even checked for the errors in in error logs in cpanel of my Bluehost.

    But still i dont see any errors related to related post

    Or i am doing something wrong

    Could you let me know what other plugins are currently active on your site?

    Could you also try to deactivate all these plugins, one at a time, and let me know if you find a conflicting plugin?

    Thanks!

    Thread Starter amritanshu

    (@monk_amritanshu)

    @jeremy Herve Again the conflicting plugin is Ithemes security.

    Isn’t there some other way out to keep it working along the itheme security

    Could you review the plugin options to find out if a specific setting causes the problem?

    Let me know what you find.
