    My xml sitemap, which has been created using Yoast SEO, has thousands of url entries that has no relevance with my site. My site has total 34 pages, i have turned indexing for page only. Still sitemap is showing invalid entries and url’s. Please have a look, does anyone has any idea. Site is “https://mcubeh.com”

    The sitemap index is not a Yoast sitemap. It looks like a static one that overwrites the Yoast generated one using the following format:

    https://www.example.com/?sitemap=page replacing example.com with your domain.

    We can see that the Yoast sitemap contains only a page sitemap with 34 pages.

    Using FTP or a file manager, please check the root of the WordPress install for a static sitemap_index.xml file. Rename it to sitemap_index.old and clear cache. If you are not familiar with FTP, your webhost can help.

    Yes thank you, there was a malware which seo spammed my site and now it has been removed manually and now yoast is showing proper sitemap. Please make this thread resolved.
