Please help me with the following error on our website.

All of a sudden we’re facing this, “INVALID USER ID: 0” on the checkout page for all payment gateways.

    Guest checkout is working fine.

I have been in touch with Hosting support and they couldn’t fix it either.

At first, we thought it was a cache issue but we are not sure.

WPMU DEV & Cloudways support tried everything but couldn’t fix it

I was not sure until now if the error is coming from any other service or WooCommerce but Browser Console says, the styling on the error is from WooCommerce so I’m posting here.

    Hi there,

Can you share a screenshot of the error you’re getting? I’m asking as I’ve just worked through a sample checkout on your site but couldn’t replicate the same thing and I managed to get through to PayPal before cancelling the order.

Also, are you still seeing the same thing after doing a conflict test as outlined at https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/ ?

    Hi,
As mentioned before the Guest checkout is working fine.

The problem lies with Admins and other custom user roles,
I remember all these were working well until the day I reported this error.

Here’s the screenshot of the error: https://go.shifte.ch/Zc0eMl

The problem persists with all the 3 gateways we have.

Unfortunately, none of the plugins found to the culprit.

After troubleshooting, I tried to order via Afterpay & the same error occurred.
Then I changed the gateway to PayPal and I was able to see the Paypal checkout screen.

This is driving me nuts. ??

After a few refresh on the checkout page, even the Afterpay works.

    Hi there,

Thank you for sharing! I have looked around and it doesn’t appear like the error message is coming from the core functionality of WooCommerce, but I’ve noticed you mentioned this:

The problem lies with Admins and other custom user roles,

While the error message makes more sense in this context, I encourage you to check with the plugin developers in charge of the user role modifications as this appears to be related to that.

    I hope this helps!

Hi @ekamran. We haven’t heard from you in a while so I’m going to go ahead and mark this thread as resolved. If you still need help with this issue or have any other questions about the WooCommerce plugin, please start a new thread.
