Invalid Username and Nameserver problem

    I recently made a fresh install of WordPress on a new Hosting account but I have NOT transferred the nameservers yet. That is on purpose, as we design the new site and will then switch the nameservers to go live.

    When I try to login at the url my host gave me for the current site, I can get to wp-login.php, but I get “invalid username” and the landing page with the error is at https://[OLD DOMAIN]/wp-login.php.

    I used Fantastico to do the install, which forced me to select a domain to install it on. Is this messing things up?
