• The Plugin became really invasive, “forcing” you to use all the spectra blocks instead of the Gutenberg ones.

It was possible once to disable all the unwanted blocks, but now you have a basic set of blocks that put themselves on top of standard gutenberg ones, leading to confusion for the users.

  • Hello @oceandigitals

I’m Mehedi Hasan, from Spectra team.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your experience with Spectra. We value all users’ feedback and strive to address any concerns or issues raised.

We sincerely apologize for the dissatisfaction you experienced with Spectra, and we truly value your feedback. However, I just want to clarify that we never enforce the use of Spectra Blocks over Gutenberg Core blocks. Both the default Gutenberg blocks and Spectra blocks differ in their functionalities. As a result, it is natural for users to utilize a combination of both to create visually appealing pages.

We understand that some users may prefer not to use certain Spectra blocks. And you have the option to disable the unnecessary blocks easily through the Spectra settings. Additionally, like the default Gutenberg blocks, Spectra Blocks are also available in the block list, and they are clearly categorized as Spectra blocks to avoid any confusion.

Again, thank you for sharing your feedback. It is truly disheartening for us to come across such reviews, considering the efforts we put into ensuring that our users have a positive experience.

    Regards,

    Mehedi Hasan

Mehedi, I appreciate the ability to disable certain Spectra blocks, and overall I think the plugin does a great job, but please add the ability to disable ALL blocks, so we can pick the ones we want. I don’t want to confuse my editors. Thanks!

Yes please, give the possibility to disable all the blocks and not only some of them.

    Hello @jcdesign & @oceandigitals

I understand that you want the ability to disable all the blocks, but we have a set of 8 core blocks that must be enabled because other blocks and features have dependencies on them. We built Spectra in an efficient way for our users as to not duplicate functionality. If we added the ability to disable these few core blocks, Spectra would no longer function.

    Hope you understand.

    Thanks
