We have our store set up with WooCommerce as the system of record. We sell products both through the website using Square and using Square POS in our small physical store. We are just starting to sync products between Square and Woo using WooCommerce Square. I recently added three new variable products to Woo that have never existed in Square. Initial sync was fine, inventory levels set correctly.

Our first sale of two of these products was in the physical store using the Square app. The resulting inventory counts in Woo were negative numbers, and in Square the inventory was zero, even though we have a few more of each left. In Woo:

Product Variation #1 – sold one: showed up in Woo as -1 for the resulting count
Product Variation #2 – sold one: also appeared in -1
Product Variation #3 – sold two: showed up in Woo as -2

So Woo is showing the inventory change, not the number remaining. And Square inventory was set to zero.

What is going on? How can I fix this?

    Thanks!

    Hi there!

We sell products both through the website using Square and using Square POS in our small physical store.

It is recommended to set Square as the SOR when you’re selling outside of your store as well.

Can you please make a complete backup of your store, set Square as the SOR, make a test order, and then see if you’re still seeing the same behavior?

If yes, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    Hi there @donkiely,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
