Inventory – Stock – status

Hello,

Regards the above.. “Out of stock” field, is there a code snippet to change or add to the array drop down and extra item of data to the Stock Status field.

“on commission” or equivalent?

Why I hear you ask… The “in Stock” “Out of Stock” “On backOrder” does not fit my business model for some of my products (about 20% worth) but fits the rest.

I work on product artwork that is commission based, so I don’t keep much stock but construct a piece on request. If you take a look at my site link above or browse the site to see both the wife and I do this then you will understand what and why I am asking.

This is all before I deep drive into code to write my own as there may already be a solution out in the wild unknown to me regards a code snippet to do this.

If this is the wrong place to ask, then please accept my apologies.
