"Invisible" icons

I installed this plug in as it is exactly what I’m looking for, but after activating it and creating 4 social icons, I can “see” them in the css code, and when I roll over the icons, they show they are there, but they are invisible. I’ve tried using your video to change the color but still nothing happens.
