Invitation emails not being sent out

  • We used to use SD Questions and Answers all the time in WordPress 3.2, but hadn’t hosted a moderated chat in several months. We have a guest scheduled for tomorrow, but when we went to test out the functionality, we noticed that guest invitations aren’t being sent out. We get the list of guests with their keys, but no one receives an email.

    Is there a possible workaround that would let us host the chat session while we’re waiting for the plugin to be fixed? For example, could we assemble the URL manually and send that out in an email? If so, what elements comprise the URL?

    We can confirm that we are also having the problem with the Moderator tab that someone else reported.
