    hello,

How can get updated final invoice total amount after partial refund or capture ?

Currently can only get first initial transaction invoice. Can’t update any addition changes to the transaction thereafter.

I am using the latest version of Woocommerce.

    Please advise. Thanks in advance!

    Hi!
That’s a feature of the Professional extension, which creates separate Credit Notes for refunded orders. In most countries it’s forbidden to alter the actual invoice, so you need a negative invoice to counter for the refund (always make sure to enter the refund at the product level and not just the total!).

    Hope that helps!

    Hi,

That means can’t do anything at my current version of extension for the Invoice prints with any modification.

With Professional extension, enter refund at product level will reflect/deduct from Invoice total, is that right? If yes, I expect the updated invoice prints will show a note of refund/deduction amount and less invoice amount as total. (also can be seen in customer account backend). Addition questions: will still keep the original invoice and create a new total amount updated invoice? is Pro version life time license?

    Please advise. Thanks!

    Hi!
I’m not sure I completely understand what you mean by “If yes, I expect the updated invoice prints will show a note of refund/deduction amount and less invoice amount as total.”.
The Professional extension creates a new, negative invoice for the refunded items.

So if the original invoice is:

    Item 1: $100
    Item 2: $500
    Subtotal: $600
    Shipping: $10
    Total: $610

refunding item 1 would give you a credit note with:

    Item 1: -$100
    Subtotal: -$100
    Total: -$100

The original invoice will remain exactly the same.

    hello,

Thank you for taking time to explain.

About the newly created refunding invoice: Is it creates new invoice number?

All your plugins are yearly licenses. Is that means I have to buy it again in order to continue to use the Pro plugin for another year? If it is yearly support license then it makes sense to me. I mean if I do not need support then I can still the plugin forever.

Yes, a new invoice number, either in the main invoice number sequence or a separate credit note sequence (that’s a setting).
License is for updates and support (plugin will not stop working after the license ends).

Updates to newer versions should be life time for free. I use other plugins they never charge for updates. I will not buy any plugins charge license for updates.

For the support that’s reasonable in this field.

    Share thought:

Your Invoice template is hang behind. Currently you design Invoice headline as Product, Quantity and Price is a really old fashion. (Price is so confusing).

I think better to use International standard style as:
    Product, Quantity, Unit-price, Amount.

Hi! Thanks for the suggestion! You can modify the free template to your liking by creating a custom template, the Premium templates extension gives you full control over the prices and other information shown in the columns without any code.

I don’t have any insight in other companies business models, but like with the WooCommerce plugins, our licenses are for both update and support. I know Code Canyon offers lifetime update, but they have changed their business model and charges so many times over the past years that I don’t think this is a good sign. Development and updates comes at a price too!
If you don’t like our offerings you can continue to use this free version for as long as you want without paying ??
