Hi, thank you for such a great product. Please help.

I have set a number “19417” for “Next invoice number” and I have “BC” in prefix and “-” in subfix. But the order number doesn’t show the prefix and subfix, only show as “19417”.

I noticed “note: if you have already created a custom invoice number format with a filter, the above settings will be ignored” under the prefix”. I don’t understand what does this refer to as “custom invoice number format with a filter”? Is this some setting on the plugin?

Thank you for your help in advance.

Hi! I think you are confusing Invoice Number and Order Number here, since you’re writing:

But the order number doesn’t show the prefix and subfix, only show as “19417”.

Indeed, the prefix and suffix only apply to the invoice number and not the order number. Have you enabled the Invoice number to show on the Invoice, or does it currently only show the order number? Our plugin is not able to change order numbers – for more information, see: Why is the PDF invoice number different from the WooCommerce order number?

That said, if this was just a typo, and you actually meant to write ‘invoice number’, please double check that the invoice was created after you entered the prefix and suffix in the settings. You could place a new test order to see if the settings take effect on the invoice number.

Let us know if you have any further questions!

Hi Ewout (@pomegranate), Thank you so much for the reply. Yes, I was confused with the order number, and invoice number, and your explanation cleared it for me. Thank you again for the great product and support. You are the best.
