    Hi community,
since the update from WP 5.6 to WP 5.7 the PDFs are no more sent. All plugins are on the newest version now. Does anybody know where to start with the troubleshooting? Or is that a well-known bug and will be fixed soon?
    Thanks

UPDATE: Most plugins and the theme was deactivated. The only plugins, that were used were:
    – Coming soon (Seeds)
    – Woocommerce
    – Woocommerce Germaniced (W-C did not work without it)
    – WooCommerce PDF Invoices & Packing Slips

The Theme was twenty twenty-one. Any ideas what might cause the bug?

Additional but may be important: The site was already hacked several times. Therefore I hardened it with lots of rules in the .htaccess. Now most files are no more writeable and changes in documents are rather complicated. Is it possible, that the update went wrong because of that?

In case that I remove all the hardening and uninstall the plugin: Are the stored date safe? (Logo, address of the vendor…)

    Thanks

OK, the situation now is as follows:
Due to several updates and plugins used (especially Mailpoet of Automattic), the PDFs are now created, but no more delivered by mail. Everything else works now. ??

Nevertheless, this problem is a real showstopper. It means, that the only solution is to download them from the page. How can I do this?

Sorry it is Automaticc that creates the problem. In the information about the preferred sending method it says:

[…] When sending transactional emails with MailPoet 3’s sending method, MailPoet does not include attachments in the emails that are sent because of bandwidth concerns and security implications with spam filters. Unfortunately, this is a limitation of our settings. We recommend to send links to files instead of attaching them to the email.[…]

Glad to hear you were able to find the root cause! Our plugin should actually show a notice about this automatically:

Did this notice not show on your site, or have you suppressed admin notices?

    Hi Ewout,
yes, that is shown. so I tried to send is using my host. But in that case, woocommerce did not send anything. Not even a notification that something was bought. That is even worse, cause clients think they were cheated or the website does not work.

OK, since there are no updates, I will report my next steps. I will try to use SMTP-sending as a basic option instead of using MailPoet, which does not work. Therefore I will use the plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/

Hope that is a good choice, now I am waiting to receive some basic information from the hoster, then I will install everything. If that choice is not recommended, it would be great if you could leave a short message that explains which sending-method might be better.

    Thanks

OK SMTP works, if anyone has the same problem. ??

Hi guys, I have pretty much very similar problem. The plug-in creates invoices but do not attach them to mail.
@rabox66 so the plug-in you mentioned above did help you?
