• Please HELP!!
I’ve been trying to upload an image and keep getting the IO error message. I’ve cleared my cache, updated Flash, did the / in the misc settings re: the image upload folder…in other words, I’ve tried everything others have suggested. It worked yesterday, haven’t added any programs or anything. My connection is not changed, what can I do?

Actually….I was messing with my connections settings trying to help someone else connect to a WiFi in a hospital. I didn’t purposely change anything, but I was getting a ‘want to dial up’ box that I got rid of by changing the ‘never dial a connection when online’ in internet options. Could there be some other setting that ‘changed itself?’ ??

    Anyone else have this problem?

    (thanks..)

    Also-
I’m using FF, allowed popups, and running Vista. If that matters.

    thanks.

Can you get to the web? Can you get to your dashboard? Have you tried the other uploader?

What does the message say? What is your URL?

If by ‘get to the web’ you mean get online, yes. I can get to my dashboard fine, all else seems fine. I’ve tried both uploaders, and I can insert images that are already in my media library, just not new ones. It’s not any specific image, because I’ve tried several different types.

However, I did try Internet Explorer as the browser and it works. So is it a setting in FF? I do not like IE.

If it works in IE, at least you have a work around.

What error do you get in FF? What is your URL?

It just SAID IO error, but I just tried it to be sure of the exact wording, and now it works.
Thanks. Not sure – maybe FF was afraid I’d start using IE and fixed itself….you know how those little people in the computer are.

REALLY appreciate you taking time to help. Hope I can pay it forward sometime.
