• Prior to NG 2.x I could use NG in wordpress from my iPad. I have started using it agan with WP and does not work. If you neet a gallery that works go look elsewhere. See my comments in the forum dated today (19NOV2014).
Their response is typical – good idea we will think about it – in other words ‘it ain’t gonna happen’!

If some one does know of a good gallery plugin to use with WIn 7 AND iOS please let me know.

    Thanks – Ken

@kencooperjr – Thanks for your feedback (although your date reference might be off a bit).

We are, and will continue to look into iOS functionality and definitely take any constructive criticism and suggestions to heart.

@kencooperjr – I like the WP native galleries and display options provided within JetPack. Works great with iOS and Android.

Thanks for the comment – I briefly looked at the JP gallery and it indicated it is a widget typically used onn a sidebar. I will be using the galleries in the body of a post/page.

what is the short code for these galleries?

    Thanks – Ken

@kencooperjr – Just reviewing some recent reviews and came across this. I just wanted to be sure you understand that NextGEN support front end gallery displays on iOS just fine. We do actually test our gallery displays on tablets.

It’s back end functionality in tems of uploading and managing your images in the back end that’s bumpy in iOS. Is that what you’re needing?

    Thanks (Erick)

I do like your comment “It’s back end functionality in tems of uploading and managing your images in the back end that’s bumpy in iOS” – exactly my thoughts and findings. Yes Erick – that is exactly what am needing. REALLY wish NG supported current technology.

Thanks for the followup – Ken

@kencooperjr – Ok, thanks for the follow up. If that’s the case, then yup, we’re letting you down as it stands.

Just FYI – this *will* happen. I know it’s no solace, but we have basically two developers on NextGEN and NextGEN Pro, supporting hundreds of thousands of users. There’s always more to do than we have resources for. To prioritize, we generally emphasize issues that are either the most serious or get the most user reports/requests.

And we just don’t get that many users wanting to manage their galleries from their ipads. It’s generally front end viewing that’s been most important. But as we get more and more done, this is getting more and more on the the radar.

In any case, thanks for taking the time to add the extra details. We really do hope you find an alternative that meets your needs.

THANKS Edanzer – I understand completely where you are coming from and as much as I hate to admit it – I do agree with your rational.

    THANKS – Ken
