IP address blocked

  • As I’m one of the users on our website, I put in the wrong password a few times and its blocked our IP address from logging in. The message says:

    ‘Your IP address has been banned from this site or you are not allowed to access this page’

    Using a hotspot I am able to login to the backend, but I can’t find the option to remove our IP address from whatever banned list it is on. Don’t have that many plugins, so do not know where it is coming from or where the option is to fix it. Please help!

    What plugin are you using to block repeated bad login attempts?

    A previous employee set up the site so I cant be sure. But here is the list of plugins currently activated if that helps:

    Contact Form 7
    Contact Form 7 Extension For Mailchimp
    Element Pack Lite Addon for Elementor
    Elementor
    Elementor Addon Elements
    Elementor Pro
    Essential Addons for Elementor
    Head & Footer Code
    NavMenu Addon For Elementor
    Press Elements – Widgets for Elementor
    Smush
    Yoast SEO

    and one not active plugin: LiteSpeed Cache

    Hmmm…. I don’t see any candidate there. It might be something added by your host. Check with their support.

    Also, this still may be a plugin. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.
