I had a fixed IP, and due to large amount of people trying to log in, I set that only my ip could log in.

Now my provider “due to change blah blah blah” – have given me a new fixed ip, and I have locked myself out from my wordpress installation.

I have ftp access, and access to sql – so is there any way that I could change or delete the fixed ip entry directly in the DB to allow myself access again ?

  • WordPress has no IP tracking/blocking feature.

What plugin are you using for this?

    Hi @ajohansen,

Since you have access to your FTP, I would recommend deactivating your security plugin by going to /wp-content/plugins/ folder and renaming the plugin folder. You may also check the steps in this article.

    Best regards,

    YES!!!
I had to rename wordfence and google captcha and then I was able to log in.

Thank you so very much for the help.
