    I’m having a number of issues with IP Blocking.

    1) IP addresses blocked in Live Traffic with Real Time On are not being added to the Blocked IPs list. However they do appear on the TOP 5 on the Dashboard.

    2) IP addresses removed from the Blocked IPs list still appear in the TOP 5 on the Dashboard even after clicking on the button ‘Update Blocked Ips’

    Can you offer any advice, thanks?

    Are you making the blocks permanent? How long is your block time set? 5 minutes is the default.

    I clicked Block IP in Live Traffic view and saw that they appeared on the Dashboard. I must admit I didn’t realise that I am required to go into Blocked IP’s to make them permanent which is something I didn’t do. Thank you for the clarification.

    I take it then that the Dashboard displays IPs that have been blocked but not necessarily the ones that remain blocked unless made permanent?

    Yes, that is correct. Unless you make the block permanent, the block will expire at your default block time.

    If you want to make permanent, then block on the Live Traffic page and then go the “Blocked IPs” page before your block expires and make permanent.
