This is honestly something I’d like to do, but the develop time for this is quite large and we don’t have the resources to do this just yet. Unfortunately the ip2nation db is dated still for July. Perhaps you could send along requests to them to keep it updated, but for now, that’s the only option with this plugin at the moment.

Wanted to ask the same thing i think.

I get US results showing for Australian visitors. Is there a way to fix this?

Well after having no success getting the people that manage the database to update it I’ve had to disable the plugin, we are just getting too many inaccurate blocks. This is a real shame because the plugin itself is great but it’s totally undermined by that IP2nation database. As mentioned before a feature to whitelist IPs could be a manual way to address the inaccuracies, or using a more up to date database like the maxmind one. Bit frustrating given we invested quite a bit of time getting it to work.

Are you trying to block visitors based on their location? This isn’t in the scope of the plugin..

I actually managed to improve the data quality. To accomplish this I used data from ip2location. Works perfectly now!

It’s simple to replicate. You can follow the steps here

I’m currently reviewing this to see if this is a viable replacement… if so, I’ll release an update accordingly

    Hey Paul,

could you also check whether it is possible to change the fall-back value to ‘na’ (or similar) instead of ‘us’? From my point of view, this would be better practice.

    Many thanks for checking ??
