  • What happens is that when a new spammer starts out he can get into your white list because nobody knows he is a spammer, yet. Within a few hours after the spammer starts spamming, he is marked as a spammer on the various databases.

    This gives a spammer a small window in which to get listed on your white list. For this reason, the default white list is small. New entries push the older ones off and then the spammer will be checked again. This time he will fail.
