  • Hello dm652,
is it possible that your IP has changed?

Yes my house IP is dynamic but I’m aware of it and I keep the whitelists updated.

    Hello dm652,
I just tested this and was not able to reproduce the problem. If I add my IP to “Whitelisted IP addresses that bypass all rules:” I do not get blocked when I try to log in with an invalid username.

Perhaps you have some error in the setting like a missing comma or something like that?

Hi, I am not using any commas, just my single IP. Not even the range brackets because I am using the absolute IP number. I know it’s strange, I can’t get to figure what the problem is…

By the way I have already tried disabling every plugin with no luck.

Yes it is very strange. I don’t think other plugins should be affecting this. What method are you using to determine your own IP address?

Online tools like whatismyipaddress.com or whatsmyip.org

Could you email that IP address to [email protected] so I can have a look at it? Thanks in advance.

    Sent! Thank you.

    Hello again dm652,
next step I would suggest to try to find the problem here is if you could check in your database with phpMyAdmin or via console if you are comfortable with that. You need to check the table called “wfConfig” and find the row “whitelisted”. Make sure that your the IP you want to whitelist is actually there in that row.

If it’s there, I would suggest you try disabling config caching and see if that helps.
