Ipad Responsive Issues

Hello,

I have the responsive feature “on” and its working great on all screen sizes; Tablets, phones, and monitors BUT for some reason on the iPad it doesn’t work well when it’s viewed on portrait but switches back to normal when on landscape. Should it detect screen size?

Is there some setting I should adjust. I viewed the site on kindle, windows tablets, monitors, tv’s and it detects them just fine but for some reason the iPad switches the views on only certain element.
