  • Did you get this resolved? I’m having the same issue.

    Thanks,
    Stacy

    Hi,

That sounds like a cache plugin issue. If you are running a cache plugin or service, please make sure it is configured per the instructions here – https://www.wptouch.com/support/knowledgebase/optimizing-caching-plugins-for-mobile-use/

something is broken in latest version!

on wp 4 the latest version is not working fine either!

    Hi Mahdi,

WPtouch has been tested and is fully compatible with WordPress 4.x.

The most common cause of WPtouch not rendering for mobile devices is a cache plugin that is either not configured to pass mobile traffic through to WPtouch or does not support that functionality.

Please review the URL above for guidance regarding cache plugins or create a new topic with details of the problem you are encountering if those steps do not resolve the issue.

Any chance you can provide a link that does not require a login? Or some advice on how to get a login? I am using the free version, you’d think if it’s a conflict with caching that the information to correct that would be made available to free users as well. Course maybe I’m missing something here, so if that’s the case please just correct me.

agreed, i’m looking for a solution to this as well. was disappointed to hit the paywall.

my mobile site only shows the first page of my site in mobile view and all the others in the desktop theme. i have the correct radiobox ticked in core settings > compatibility.

Having a similar problem. Wptouch works fine in most devices, but suddenly stopped working in Chrome for Android.

This plugin has been on my favorites list for a long time so I am not sure if I’m understanding this correctly. There is a solution to what appears to be a common and serious problem, yet users of the free plugin are denied access to that solution?

I can certainly understand reserving direct premium support for paying customers, but static info for a broadly experienced problem is not the same as individual support.

Could it be that the solution is not really a fix, or doesn’t actually exist? Maybe it just boils down to “good luck using a caching plugin with this”?

Hoping to hear something about this soon.

For those having these kind of problems, this is the solution that worked for me:

    – Deactivate and uninstall your current cache plugin.

    – Download and activate WP Fastest Cache plugin from the official WP repository.

    – Temporary CHMOD your htaccess file to 777.

    – Go to WP Fatest Cache settings, enable cache and tick “Don’t show cached version for desktop to mobile devices”.

    – Restore htaccess file permissions to 644.

Done! Now the desktop version will never be shown in mobile devices.

Looks like good info Arkantos. Thanks for taking the time to post it.

I am wondering if WP Fastest Cache has a way to avoid caching the mobile version, if for example a given page is first visited by a mobile user. This so that desktop users aren’t shown the mobile version.

Have you tested or observed how that works?

Again, thanks for sharing what worked for you. Very helpful.

Yes, totally tested. The mobile version is not cached at all. You’re welcome, glad to help ??
