• Hi

I run a blog on my server and have been using wptouch as my iPhone/mobile plugin and it’s always worked fine. Now even with the plug in deactivated myself and all other iPhone users find my blog won’t load properly in Safari on the phone and then the content is pushed to the left edge of the screen and then it crashes. Like I say I have tried deactivating wptouch but the same happens in fact the results are identicle with or without wptouch active so I am wondering if it is still trying to use it. I have the latest version of wptouch and have tried with the default Twenty Twelve theme rather than my custom one but the results are the same. iPhone users and I am guessing iPad users can’t view my blog now. Can you clear the cache on an iPhone? I am wondering why it loads the same with out without wptouch active.
    Thanks

This doesn’t sound as if it’s directly attributable to WPtouch but rather a conflict happening within your WordPress configuration. Try testing your active plugins to see where the issue lies.

To isolate which plugin(s) may be contributing to the trouble, deactivate all except WPtouch from within the WordPress Plugins area, clear your browser cache and local data then test.

If WPtouch functions well, you may then enable the rest of your plugins one at a time, repeating the process, until you can identify which is/are causing the problem.

You can clear your iOS device cache by going to the Settings for Safari and selecting “Clear Cookies and Data”.

I have this same problem – did you discover the cause?

Apparently iPad is ok just crashes on iPhone/safari

removing JW player6 seemed to fix it for me

WPtouch Pro will allow you to deactivate individual plugins from your mobile theme while leaving your desktop theme intact. For more information on WPtouch Pro, see https://www.bravenewcode.com/product/wptouch-pro/

Since I upgraded to Premium my wordpress website does not shor on iPad under Safari. Works well on iPhone under Safari. I have not changed anything. The mirror website which is not an upgraded/ Premium wordpress site runs well in Safari on iPad.
What can I do to make my wordpress site visible on iPad under Safari?
