    Hi,

First, thank you for the great plug-in – it’s a wonderful tool.

I am having trouble with IPv6 addresses – IPv4 works perfectly, but visitors via IPv6 are not identified.

On the Settings page, the following message appears at the bottom of the page:

    IPv6 not supported
Your version of PHP is compiled without IPv6-support, so it is not possible to lookup adresses like “2001:4860:4801:5::91”. For more information see PHP documentation & user comments.

I’m running PHP7.2.11 on Apache, with WordPress v.4.9.8

The PHP7 installation was built with IPv6 Support enabled, curl has IPv6 enabled and inet_pton functions correctly, so I’m struggling to work out why GeoIP Detection is throwing that message?

    Many thanks for your help!

    Hi,

there are other reports in the internets that the method I used for detection if IPv6 is supported or not seems to be shaky. I have tried to implement a different method, can you please test the beta version of the plugin to see if it helps:

    Thanks!

@benjamin4, thanks so much for your reply!

I’ve tried the beta plugin and it works flawlessly! Thank you.

The options page does not now show the β€˜IPv6 not supported’ message and the site seems to be working great.

Thanks so much for your attention – it is very much appreciated!

When will this be published? I noticed my ads that I managed with this addon classes are not showing for me, the country class is not inserted in the body.

Maybe it is because of this too?
