this plugin used to be great, now all the icons just disappeared and won’t show up! This happened with the last 2 updates.

Have you considered posting a support request in the plugin’s dedicated sub-forum?

    Hi ramyelbasty,

I’m sorry to hear the plugin is having problems on your site. This is the first report I’ve heard of icons not displaying in these versions.

Jan is correct that the support forum is the best place to file these issues, but I’d be happy to help you here.

Can you please provide me with some details to help me recreate the issue? Since icons display fine on all my testing environments, I need your help finding the issue before I can create a solution.

Can you provide me with the URL for a site where you have the plugin installed, but the icons are not showing up?

    Thanks Jan & Paul.

    @ Paul
This is a website I’m still testing on the localhost on my computer, so unfortunately I won’t be able to share the website link.
But I will try to explain the problem in more details:

The icons don’t even show on the WP dashboard when I’m trying to add them to a specific menu. I Choose “Menus” then in the “Links” tab I can find a place to add the URL and link name, then I find the title “Social Icons” which the icons should appear below it where I used to see them. Now it shows nothing but the title and a empty space, and the two links below “How to edit icon appearance”, and “How to request new icons”.

And of course no icons show up when I switch to the preview mode.

any help? It used to work well before (on the same local server) now it just doesn’t work since I guess the last 2 updates. I’m using Firefox mainly but I also tried Chrome & Opera and still get the same blank area with no icons. My WP & browsers are all up to date btw.

Are there any publicly available sites where you’ve seen the issue that you’d be able to share?

If not, can you open the Firefox web console (screenshot: how to get there, what to look for), and see if you have any orange or black X’s?

The console will normally output lots of information. I’ve filtered it down to just example errors in the screenshot. If there’s not an “x”, it just informational; not like a cause of problems.

Could you possibly be running any plugins or themes that are modifying stock WordPress script behavior? For example, javascript or CSS minifiers, jQuery replacements, etc? Since you’re on a localhost install, a quick way to test for conflicts is to disable all other plugins and switch to one of the TwentyXXX themes. Alternatively, could you provide a list of plugins you’re running, as well as the theme?

    Hi Ramy,

Just wanted to check in on you, since I hadn’t heard back. Any info?
