• I am deleting this plugin on all sites where I’ve installed it, and I will be sticking with my long-time favorite, Google Analytics Dashboard for WP. It’s a simple, set and forget plugin with the basic, most useful reports.

I started to use the previous versions of this plugin when Yoast owned it because I think he provides a good balance between decent freemium products (that I trust will be maintained well) and the commercial need to upsell additional features. Now, under its new ownership, this plugin hijacks the WP admin interface with large, loud, and in my opinion ugly branding and nonstandard notifications. This is disruptive and disorienting to the user, and it indicates a nagware marketing model in which the user is treated as a target for spam. That’s a trust-breaker for me, so I’m out and heartily disrecommending this plugin and the company behind it.

I’m sorry to see you go.

However I want to clarify that we didn’t change a single thing in the plugin after the acquisition.

We simply replaced the 4 banners that Yoast had with our own.

The only notification you will see is the one that lets you know about the acquisition and nothing else.
