Is a old version of jQuery my issue?

Ok so I am just trying to give an old site a little bit of a makeover…and I have been using the SiteOrgin builder to do which rocks for this purpose but not on IE. The slide on the homepage is a no-show on IE and if I could just get it to work the update would be complete. The tech support from SiteOrgin said I was loading an old version of jQuery and that was the problem, I think I got rid of it. (my first time trying to do this so frankly I have no clue) Could someone tell me if I am on the right path or if I am as clueless as I feel. Site looks fine in Chrome and FireFox and on every phone I have tested it on, so I am getting pretty frustrated. Thanks
