Is Akismet still necessary?

Apologies if this is an extremely stupid question – but, is Akismet still necessary to have installed and activated when WP Cerber is doing its job? My assumption is, No – its not.. but I wanted to ask and be sure. Trying to clean house and deactivate as many plugins in my backend as I can right now.

I initially continued to use Akismet in the beginning since it works with Caldera forms for added spam security and then I kind of forgot about it… but I am thinking now in retrospect that it doesn’t seem to be needed while Cerber is active, however I wanted to confirm this before removing it.
