I have a single event where I want to capture attendee info prior to registration. There may be multiple attendees per paid registration. Each attendee may have different options and I need to prepare badge info with their name, organization, etc. I’ve tried to do this with woocommerce and failed. I’ve doownloaded the base events manager plugin and I just don’t “get it”. I don’t need multiple events … just one each year.

My first response is no, Events Manager is not what you want. Especially if you don’t “get it” which is a feeling I appreciate having myself. Why struggle?

You have described clearly what you are after and it seems you have a ‘one to many’ situation of one event, many people. And for those people you have a multitude of things to be looked after to keep them organized.

If there was conference software I think that’s more like what you should investigate. The important thing for you is to keep your attendees informed and managed individually in a smooth fashion.

To me, Events Manager is more driven by the calendar (dates and times), then the events (what and where), then the attendees.

    Hello,

If I get it properly, What you’re looking is something like when a user purchases 5 tickets then you could capture the Name, Email, Phone or other details for each user? If this is correct, We have a feature on our Pro version called “Attendee Bookings” when used this allows you to enter additional details for each Ticket purchased.

Great answer. Our annual event gets about 500 attendees. A ticket is for admission + optional lunch + optional after event. A purchaser buys an assortment of tickets at one time for one or more attendees. We need to capture certain information about each attendee to provide badges for the attendees name, position, and organization. The badges help us maintain access to the site which is restricted for insurance purposes. Up till now we’re attempted to do this using a woocommerce store. That hasn’t been a satisfactory way of handling the attendee badges … we’ve never figured out a decent way to get the information about any attendee other than the purchaser.
