• Hi Thomas. Thank you for developing such a solid plugin that does most of the regular jobs every website master might need to do manually. I’ve been using it since I started designing websites (not building being honest).

However, GTM4WP doesn’t load GTM up properly on the new website just created with Oxygen Builder, which is on the list of the plugin introduction.

With the link provided here, you can see the javascript generated by GTM4WP that fires events on CF7 movements on the frontend but not the GTM script.

I’ve tried to replace my container ID with the suggested GTM-XXXXXX to see if the issue is caused by me but it still doesn’t load GTM on the frontend.

I’m a non-techie therefore there’s not much I can do with the issue to inspect that out. Could you, or anyone else, be able to give me some clues to fix this situation?

Thank you for the time in advance.

[Ps.1] I’m aware that I can actually enable GTM by adding some custom scripts with the tutorial but I’d rather use GTM4WP instead which may allow me to do more with GTM.

[Ps.2] The container ID I have now is 6 digits which is not the same as mentioned in ‘Please READ THIS before asking‘ which contains 7 digits. I’m not sure if this could make a difference. Just brought this up in case it matters.

I found that there’s an option ‘Container Code’ in the General tab. The GTM code loads once it’s set to on and it won’t load once this option is set to off (which is off by default).

The description of the use is stated as followed:

Turning OFF the Google Tag Manager container itself will remove both the head and the body part of the container code but leave data layer codes working.

This should be only used in specific cases where you need to place the container code manually or using another tool.

Will this make any difference between these two options on the data I receive in GA4?
