Is .htaccess included when creating a backup?

Hi, I just wanted to ask if when creating a backup then exporting the WPRESS file, does it include the .htaccess file?

I just want to know because I want my staging site to be uncrawlable, so I have to edit something in the .htaccess file to do this, but I want the .htaccess file to stay at the staging and not be imported when I import to a live website, because of course, the live site should be crawlable and not get the code I put in the .htaccess file of my staging.
