Is import overriding orders?

    Hi,

    I moved my client’s shop to new website and after export orders to file from old store, there are new orders in new store. If I start importing old orders to new website, is import will override new orders or will add old orders to new ones? What if an old and a new order will have the same order number?

    Will appreciate any information before I import old orders.

    Thank you for reaching out.

    When you import old orders to your new site, if there are no conflicts with existing post IDs, the orders will keep their original order IDs and numbers. However, if there is a conflict with existing posts during the import, the orders will be assigned new order IDs. This means that the original order IDs and numbers would change. Importantly, this process will not overwrite any new orders on your site.
