• I have a site served over http.
I have generated SSL certifcates using Let’s Encrypt uploaded to public directory via FTP.
    Installed Really simple ssl plugin
    Activated ssl
It is using the wrong invalid certificate.

I assume the certificate is not installed and this needs to be handled by my hosting provider but they do not offer FREE installations of custom SSL certificates.

Can I force this in wordpress?

  • No you don’t need to force it.
Installing SSL on your Website is very simple if you have Cpanel.
    Follow the easy steps below.

    Login to cPanel.
Click SSL/TLS Manager > Certificates (CRT) > Generate, view, upload or delete SSL certificates.
In the Upload a New Certificate section click the Browse button and locate your SSL Server Certificate file your_domain_com.txt.
    Click the Upload button.
Click the Go Back link to return to SSL/TLS Manger.

Or just mail me on [email protected]
    Will do it for free.

    My host is heartinternet

They do not provide cpanel and the extend panel offers no ssl manager just the option to purchase certificates.

They do provide SSH support though.
