Is it allowed/ethical to get the users email on plugin activation
-
I am developing a plugin and there is a deactivation form to determine why the user deactivates the plugin with their reasoning – and to see why users uninstall the plugin and find out which features are missing.
My question is – am I allowed to get the users email address and send that in the deactivation survey to me as well so that I can contact them and ask why they have deactivated and if there is anything else I can assist with to help them with it?
Is this allowed or advised against?
Thanks.
