Is it an attack?

  • Cant access to our site wp-admin area it gives these errors: Warning: Illegal string offset

  • I’m getting these same errors on my site.

    Hi @yiggory no this isn’t an attack, most probably you can’t access your website because of this “Cannot modify header information” warning, I suggest disabling all your plugins by connecting to your website via FTP, then rename the (/wp-content/plugins/) folder to something else like “plugins-deactivated” for example, then you should be able to log in your website, after that you can activate Wordfence plugin first, then re-activate other plugins one by one.

    @yiggory and @coolass_chad regarding these “Warning: Illegal string offset”, I would appreciate if you can double check that you have the latest version of Wordfence and WordPress installed on your website, then go to (Wordfence > Diagnostics) and scroll down the page till “Send Report by Email” and send the report to “alaa [at] wordfence [dot] com”, make sure to include your forum username, I will take a look at this report and let you know my findings.
