Is it Copyright Infringement to use YouTube thumbnail?

    This plugin looks great but I’m trying to figure out if we are legally able to use the thumbnail on our sites. Yeah I don’t want to use an image and then get sued. Does anyone have any information about the copyright permissions of using Youtube thumbnails? Thanks for your help!

    I would assume they would all fall under fair use as you’re not claiming you own any rights to anything. However I’m not a lawyer either. You’re also not getting to choose which frame comes in, that’s all dictated by what Youtube ends up providing for the endpoints requested.
