I’m not familiar with that addon for WC, but I assume you are wanting to know if you can modify the sharing link to include the event slug as referenced in step 2 of your link. Yes, there is a filter on the query_args passed to each sharing button, which would be the easiest way to add another parameter to the link (every button already has at least one query arg added to it).

This won’t do what you want, but it is an example of that filter in use: adding a hashtag to a twitter sharing button. You can pass the filter example on to your developer as a starting point in addition to the source of the filter.
