Is It necessary to update wordpress version 5.0 to 5.3

  • while I open my wp dashboard for my site , I got a notification to update my wordpress version I wanted to know what additional features does new version wordpress have.
    .
    I also got error to update my PHP version, I just wanted to know how to get my PHP version updated.

  • You should always update WordPress to its latest version as each upate usually includes security enhancements and bug fixes.
