Is it possible that Mailpoet would add a “signature” to an email or other copy?

    Sent a “Tax Reminder” to 1000 subscribers…

The email is very simple, a quick line about the tax is due, that’s it, besides subscribe and unsubscribe links.
    “Tax Reminder
This is a reminder from Township Tax Office that your property taxes are due on February 1st”

one of the subscribers said the email they received contains information for another township. Name address, phone number and hours.

Nowhere is any of that information contained in the email (or settings) that was sent (and we have email copies that look perfect)

The person I deal with won’t let it go. Is this something that has happened to anyone else or is is even possible?

    thank you for any help.

    Hello there,

Thank you for contacting MailPoet support. I will be happy to help you with this.

This is strange as Mailpoet will never send emails on your behalf and will also never edit your emails.

It’s not possible for the misinformation/change in content in your email sent out to come from MailPoet.

If I may ask, is it just one recipient that stated that they received a wrong information, or there are multiple recipients complaining about the same thing?

When you check the main email sent to the different recipients do you notice a change in the content of the email?

    Best.

yes, so far only one recipient (of questionable merit). However, at the insistence of the Department manager I needed to pester you.
I have spot checked several emails as well as the emails that were received by myself and the department manager. All are correct, with no content changes.

I consider this matter closed. If further evidence or complaints come forward I will reach out again.
Thank you for your help and time.

After talking with the department manager I removed the mailpoet subscribe form from their website. I did not deactivate the plugin.
However I am still receiving confirmation that people are subscribing. They are also confirming their subscription, so I do not think it’s a robot somehow finding the form

    This seems very odd.

thank you again for the help. Apologies for the trouble.

Did you also set the status of the form to off? See screenshot:

If it still looks like the screenshot, Kindly toggle the status to off.

    I hope this helps.
