• I have tried to add a specific membership page that is based on the level of membership purchased(subscription based).

That page will be sort of membership only content page with useful items such as:

News and annoncement in a text box (have written a custom plugin for that)
Link to member specific courses page(using drip feed content on that page)
Link to a resource page with graphics, email templates and such (using wp filebase plugin for that page)

This page should be having links depending on the level of membership the person have when accessing the page and the page should of course be restricted so no one can see that page without a pmpro membership.

Is this possible and if so, how do I accomplish that?

I have used buddypress up until now but I have lots of problems with pmpro restricting parts of buddypress pages and also to tie buddupress and pmpro together (what pages to use for each plugin) so I am on my way to abandon buddypress.

Maybe if it is possible to add these links to the generic membership page they get when they signs up?

    Hey there,

Yes! Restricting content to registered members is exactly what this plugin was built for. You can actually restrict content a variety of ways, including a meta box on the Add/Edit Post page, a simple [membership] shortcode, or a PHP template funciton. You can read more about the various ways to protect membership content here.

    Hope that helps!

    Thanks,
    Jess
