Is it possible to append via email?

This is a general request for ideas on how to accomplish something: I’d like to set up a page on my site as kind of a “short random thoughts” collector, tangential and not connected to the main purpose of the blog. The blog is about higher ed marketing and communications, but I’d like somewhere to put dumb ideas, jokes, etc. on a rolling basis.

One ideal form of this would be an update-via-email process where if something occurs so me (“Is lasagna a casserole?”) I could just email _____, put that text in the body of the email, and it would pop onto the bottom of a page created to collected these email-powered notes. Maybe with the date?

I have a vague understanding that maybe this could be done with the existing post-by-email feature, creating a category, then creating a… blog category page?
