• Hey everyone,

Long story short I am doing some edits to a website for a business associate, and I seem to have blocked myself as a user on accident with the AIOS plugin. I can’t log in to the site’s dashboard and the super-admin has sent me his credentials which won’t work either. How do I go about solving this issue and recovering the log in info. I can’t imagine theres a way the site could be up and running (which it is) while having all admins and super admins blocked as users.

Let me know what you think, any and all help is appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

Yes, it’s very possible to lock yourself or other admins/super-admins using a plugin. I’ve seen it a few times and the best course I recommend is reaching out to the plugin’s support channel to see how they can better help you here. The reason being is not all plugins do security in the same way; some will use an IP block or some will have rate limits it just depends how that plugin works.

So do try to reach out to the plugin’s support to see how they can better help out.
