  • Hello whatwewa,

Great news! Neither W3 Total Cache nor the SiteLock TrueShield WAF/CDN require any additional configuration to work together. The product should work ‘out of the box’ without any issues!

Additionally, you may wish to install the SiteLock TrueShield plugin when using our WAF/CDN product with WordPress. When you use a CDN, the IP addresses used by the CDN’s proxies appear to WordPress as the visitor’s IP. Installing the SiteLock TrueShield plugin ensures that WordPress is forwarded the actual visitor IPs instead of our proxies’ IPs.

    thank you

Ok… But does one really need to use W3 Total Cache plugin when using SiteLock? Since SiteLock has a built-in CDN/ Caching mechanism? I have asked SiteLock technical support team this question several times and the answers seem not to be the same… Some said NO, you don’t need to use W3 Total Cache when using SiteLock because the caching mechanism can conflict. Some said YES because it does not affect the site in anyway. What is the hard truth about this? ??

    Thanks!
